Playing on an easy to skin and resilient surface with better ball rebounds is a real pleasure. RUBAPRO EPDM granules provide maximum performance and optimal safety for many sports activities like basketball, volleyball, handball, football, tennis and badminton.

RUBAPRO surfacing system fulfil the requirements of EN 14877 “Synthetic Surfaces for Outdoor Sports Areas”, the European standard specifying the requirements for polymeric surfaces installed in-situ for sports facilities. 

RUBAPRO EPDM granules are exceptionally durable and weather resistant. With permanent elasticity, they minimize injury risks and protect players’ articulations.  

SINGLE LAYER EPDM – Seamless surfacing

Thickness: 10mm to 15mm

RUBAPRO outdoor system is water permeable, skid-resistant when wet even under snow and quickly dries after rain. Additional sealing process is recommended for indoor system.   

EPDM granules fulfill the stringent requirements of the EN 71-3 standard “Safety of Toys” and REACH “Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals” regulations.

All systems can be tested according to EN 14877 “Synthetic Surfaces for Outdoor Sports Areas”, the European standard specifying the requirements for polymeric surfaces installed in-situ for sports facilities. 

Our EPDM granules are free of heavy metals, halogen compounds, phthalates and PAH “Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons”.

RUBAPRO outdoor systems can be easily installed. Thickness is determined according to user performance expectations. 

The installation can be realized by automatic elastic layer pavers. 

Thanks to its remarkable elasticity, the surfacing system absorbs safely the expansion and contraction of the existent surface, absorb vibrations, and permit soil movements due to earthquakes or ground settlement. It fills the cracks, eliminates blemishes of the surface. It is also a good self-leveling coating. It permits thermal contraction and expansion. No need to create sections. This is a real long-term and reliable seamless surface with a beautiful finish! 

The lines that are used to identify lanes, starts and finishes are usually applied with a line-marking machine. Polyurethane based paintings are recommended. 

EPDM rubber has better fire retardancy performances compared to recycled truck tire. By using the appropriate polymer resins, RUBAPRO EPDM granules can be used in almost every indoor project. 

High-quality RUBAPRO EPDM granules retain their basic properties for years like optimal resistance to tearing, elongation at break, abrasion and elasticity. They have high polymer content (23-24%).

The choice of binder affects the lifespan of the entire system.
